China International Import Expo Bureau and Its Delegation Visited EACLC Project

On May 14th, 2023, Chu Kun, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the China Embassy in Tanzania, and Song Shangzhe, Committee Secretary for Discipline Inspection and Deputy Director General of China International Import Expo Bureau, and its delegation made an on-the-spot investigation on the East Africa Commercial and Logistics Center project. A symposium was arranged to communicate on the exhibition arrangement of the 2023 China International Import Expo. Zheng Yusheng, deputy general manager of the office of National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Ms. Wang Xiangyun, chairman and Ms. Wang Xiangyu, general manager of EACLC LIMITED attended the symposium.

The East Africa Commercial and Logistics Center project is invested and operated by EACLC LIMITED, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., with a total construction area of 75,000 square meters and can accommodate 2,000 shops. The project is located in the central area of Ubungo, Dar es Salaam, with advantageous geographical position and convenient transportation location: 7 kilometers to the urban area, 10 kilometers to the port, 8 kilometers to the railway station and 14 kilometers to the international airport.

Now the East Africa Commercial and Logistics Center project is under construction and is scheduled to open in June 2024. Upon completion, it will become a landmark building of the integration for wholesale, retail, logistics, warehousing, exhibition, culture, business and tourism, radiating a market of 1.4 billion African population and being a unique modern international commercial and logistics center in East Africa.
